Teaching and learning is centered around transdisciplinary units of inquiry which integrate and combine different skills and learning areas.

Teachers follow the Oxford International Curriculum and each subject provides opportunities for students to collaborate with peers, to become curious learners who are able to approach challenges with creative and critical solutions. Through Inquiry-Led learning,students develop their knowledge and academic skills simultaneously.

By engaging in inquiry-based learning, students become competent, life long learners.

Pre-School

EtonHouse Pre-school Bahrain provides an Early Years Programme for children aged from 1-4 years of age. Our qualified, international class teachers are supported by classroom assistants.

The early years are vitally important in the mental, physical and social development of every child. It is important that their individual needs are identified through observation and documentation of their interests, development and progress EtonHouse’s early childhood curriculum is inspired by internationally accepted best teaching practice from around the world such as the Reggio Emilia educational project of northern Italy.

At EtonHouse, the child benefits from a learning environment that promotes the continuous development of their social, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative strengths. Children are offered a range of opportunities to explore values, broaden communication skills, collaborate, make personal choices, group problem solve, develop ideas and explore information. Children’s learning and development, during the early years is supported by a framework of long and short term goals. These goals reflect the “whole” development of each individual child.

Kindergarten

At EtonHouse  KG International school, your child will have access to a world class international education. We have partnered with Oxford University Press to deliver their international curriculum which follows the framework of the British curriculum and the Key Stages with age appropriate subjects that are explored in greater depth with each age group. The seamless curriculum is delivered from EYFS to Sixth Form to ensure the very best education outcomes for students.

An Internationally Recognised Programme

The Oxford International Curriculum is aligned to the British curriculum and framework. There are six core subjects studied: English, Maths, Science, Computing, Wellbeing and the Global Skills Projects.

The curriculum is then complimented with French delivered by the internationally renowned Alliance Français, Arabic as prescribed by Bahrain’s MoE, PE and the Arts which form an intrinsic part of our unique all through, inquiry led learning curriculum.

Primary

At EtonHouse International school, your child will have access to a world class international education. We have partnered with Oxford University Press to deliver their international curriculum which follows the rigours framework of the British curriculum and the Key Stages with age appropriate subjects that are explored in greater depth with each age group.

In the Primary, there are six subjects as part of the Oxford International Curriculum: English, Maths, Science, Computing, Wellbeing and the Global Skills Projects which continue into Lower Seniors. As part of our carefully crafted provision, we add in specialist subjects Arabic, French and PE to complement EtonHouse’s arts and play based provision in Infants and Juniors and a whole school inquiry-led learning.

Technology is integrated into teaching with the use of online platforms such as My Maths, Active Science and Reading Eggs. Classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards to ensure that teaching and learning are of the highest quality.
