I have been in education since 2004. My specialism is English Literature which I have taught from Year 5 up to Sixth Form. I have held a broad spectrum of roles within schools from leading a successful English department to Assistant Head in charge of Lower School. I have worked in London, Bangkok and have been happily settled in Bahrain since 2016. I am married with two boys aged 9 and 5.
My firm belief is in happy children- children thrive academically in a creative and supportive environment that nurtures the whole child which is the philosophy of Eton House.
I am excited to join a team of dedicated and hardworking professionals that aims to transform the education experience in Bahrain with the island’s first fully International Baccalaureate all-through school. I am looking forward to welcoming the community to Eton House, Bahrain and meeting parents and students alike.
My name is Miss Nikki and I have been working with children for over 12 years in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi as a teacher and in managerial roles. I am EYFS qualified and trained in safeguarding and child protection. I moved to Saudi Arabia at the age of 3 years old and have stayed in the GCC ever since and truly feel as though Bahrain is home.
I believe every child is unique and has their own talents, strengths/weaknesses, and interests and use those to help support each child as an individual. I set up fun activities that allow the children to develop their social, emotional and personal skills as well as their physical and speech and language skills through play while supporting them with academic activities that support their literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
I look forward to working with you and your child as we support them to develop to the best of their abilities. I believe communication is the key to your child’s success and to a great parent/teacher relationship and encourage you to ask any questions or concerns you may have.
