EtonHouse Official Opening
Of New Playground Equipment
Hamala, Bahrain: On Wednesday 27th March 2019, EtonHouse International Pre-School held the Official Opening of its New Playground and Equipment. The pre-school, based in a prestigious Hamala location, was proud to open its doors to reveal the new outdoor play areas for children. EtonHouse has been established for over 20 years and has over 100 schools across the Globe.
The event was held under the patronage of Mona Yousif Almoayyed, who opened the new grounds at the school. There was a presentation by Jackie Becher, the Executive Principal from EtonHouse International, who is visiting Bahrain for the event. Jackie talked about “Reggio Emilia and its Adaption in School Settings.” Following the presentation, there was a tour of the grounds and new play spaces. The Official Launch took place at noon with the cutting of the cake by Mrs Mona Almoayyed, and a selection of children painted pallets to commemorate the event, followed by a family picnic lunch in the gardens.
In the afternoon, there was a Professional Development Presentation on Reggio Emilia and its Philosophy presented by Jackie Becher. Local nurseries and pre-schools were invited to attend the workshop. The topic was on documentation and the Environment as the “Third Teacher”. After the workshop there was a tour of the school.
Another presentation by Jackie Becher on “Reggio Emilia and its Philosophy” was also conducted. She spoke about the “Environment as the Third Teacher and 100 Languages of Children”. This was a complimentary workshop for the local community.
Following the presentation, the final event was an Open House to introduce prospective EtonHouse parents to the pre-school. All families with their children were invited to attend this. There were opportunities to talk to the teachers and the Principal and to spend time touring the school.
Originating in Singapore, EtonHouse has expanded to the Middle East through a franchise agreement with MBA Fakhro Group, and the first pre-school has opened here in Bahrain.
